SONKO AND MAKADARA

Sometimes you wonder the kind of media practices being carried out in the country. I do not disagree that the way Mike Sonko reacted yesterday was a little bit to the extreme. But i also think that we have to look at three sides of the story rather than two.

Sometimes the Media only tend to focus on the negative. Most of the time Media in the copuntry only pushes sonko to the extreme. I remember the days when i was in high school and someone accuses me of hitting him/falsely. The best thing i would normally do is to make sure that a real fight has occured between me and the accussee. This i did only to make trhe accussations real.

With this generation of technology, the media should learn to report in 3D and in equal measures. I dont see the point of focus 100% on the wrong thing that Sonko did rather than also focusing on the reasons for him acting the way he did. The truth should also not be left out. So in 3D reporting of the case of Sonko there should be:
  1. Reaction of Sonko which as everybody so was out of order for a person of his statue in the country. It was not right for him to go round behaving the same way an ordinary hooligan would behave in the streets of Nairobi. The way he reacted was no dought to the extreem
  2. Secondly journalist should find out why Sonko was behaving the way he qwas doing. If the traders along Aoko road lost their place of trading through the dirty hands of the Kanjoo nobody would expect the Member of Parliament to just sit down and watch.
  3. Finally we should find out the truth in this case.
